Islamabad Smuggling

Islamabad Police has been empowered to prevent smuggling, Interior Minister informed.

Taking an important decision, the Ministry of Interior has given powers to the Islamabad Police to take action against smuggling under the Customs Act.

The Ministry of Home Affairs informed the Federal Board of Review (FBR) Chairman about the progress.

It is relevant to note that Rangers, Coast Guards and Frontier Constabulary (FC) already have these powers.

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police also got the power to impound non-customs vehicles.
